Frank G. Heard
Frank G. Heard has been Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the Company since January 2015. He joined Gibraltar as President and Chief Operating Officer in 2014 with more than 25 years of experience in the building products industry. Prior to Gibraltar, he served as president, ITW Building Components Group, a division of Illinois Tool Works Inc., a Fortune 200 global diversified industrial manufacturer. In that role, he had global responsibility for the strategic direction and operational performance of 25 businesses in 18 country markets across a wide range of industry segments including residential and commercial construction, retail and component manufacturing. Prior to serving as president of its Building Components Group, Mr. Heard filled various executive roles for Illinois Tool Works dating back to 1990.
Timothy F. Murphy
Timothy F. Murphy was appointed Chief Financial Officer in March 2017. Mr. Murphy served as Secretary and Vice President of Treasury, Tax, and Risk since 2012. Previously, he served as Vice President of Treasury Operations since January 2010, and as Director of Treasury Operations from June 2008 to January 2010. He was Director of Financial Reporting from September 2004 to June 2008. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Murphy served a variety of roles at KPMG from 1996 to 2004, including Audit Senior Manager.
Cherri L. Syvrud
Cherri L. Syvrud has been Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development since April 2016. She joined Gibraltar after a 28-year career at Illinois Tool Works Inc., where she served most recently as Platform Director of Human Resources, where she developed and implemented HR processes to increase operational effectiveness and talent development globally. Previously she was Manager of Human Resources and Employee Relations, leading human resource integration in acquisitions and negotiating union contracts.
Stephen L. Duffy
Stephen L. Duffy was appointed President, Postal & Parcel Storage Solutions in January 2015. He previously had been President of the Noll Manufacturing Group since January 2012 and President of the Engineered Products Group since April 2009. Mr. Duffy has an extensive background in executive and general management, most recently as President of Wells Lamont Industrial Group, a division of the Marmon Group, an industrial and consumer products company. He was also president of Actown Electrocoil, a division of Actuant Corporation, and he has held various senior management positions at Groupe Safran, a global leader in aerospace, security, and telecommunications.
Charles D. Jerasa
Charles D. Jerasa was named President of Residential Ventilation and Air Management Products in January 2015 after having been President of the Storage & Ventilation Group since January 2010. He has more than 25 years of experience in the building materials industry. Prior to joining Gibraltar, he served as President and CEO of Nailite International, a privately held Miami-based company. Before that, he progressed through a series of positions during his more than 20 years with Owens Corning, a global leader in building materials, lastly as President and General Manager of OC Fabwel.
Jack L. Mehltretter
Jack L. Mehltretter was appointed VP of Information Technology in January 2017. He previously had been Global Vice President of Information Technology at New Era Cap Company, an international headwear/apparel company, since 2007. Earlier, he was VP of Information Technology at Cliffstar Corp., a supplier of ready-to-drink beverages with annual revenues of $1B. Mr. Mehltretter has held leadership positions in Information Technology, supply chain management and internal consulting for more than 30 years. He has extensive background in outsourcing partnerships, contract negotiations, customer/supplier integration, and process re-engineering, including ERP software implementation and the launch of global business intelligence platforms.
John T. Neil
John T. Neil was appointed VP Strategic Operations in August 2016. Prior to joining Gibraltar, he served as Vice President and General Manager of the North American Construction Divisions at SFS Intec, a $1.4 billion manufacturer of fasteners with global capabilities. In this position, he led organic and M&A growth initiatives and implemented 80/20 operational efficiencies. He also spent 26 years at Illinois Tool Works (ITW), where he held management positions in Sales, Marketing and Engineering. He most recently was General Manager of the ITW Industrial Fastening, Buildex Metal Building, Amp, and Alfamachhine businesses. In this role he was responsible for creating and driving profitable growth strategies and implementing Lean Principles.
Paul Y. Plourde
Paul Y. Plourde was appointed to the newly created position of Vice President, Business Development in January 2015. An experienced executive in the consumer goods, building products and industrial sectors, Mr. Plourde has a record of success in developing and executing business growth initiatives. Before joining Gibraltar, Mr. Plourde had served as General Manager for ITW Construction Products Canada since 2008 and as General Manager of ITW’s Residential Business Unit since 2004. Mr. Plourde also had served in various management roles within GE Appliances from 1994 through 2004.
Lori A. Rizzo
Lori A. Rizzo was appointed Vice President, Corporate Controller in March 2018. Previously, Ms. Rizzo had served as Gibraltar's Director of Accounting & Reporting since 2012 and Manager of Corporate Accounting since 2008. Ms. Rizzo's experience at Gibraltar includes consolidations, acquisitions & divestitures, and policy implementation, along with SEC reporting. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Rizzo progressed through a series of corporate finance roles with M&T Bank and other local banking establishments from 1992 to 2008.
William L. Vietas
William L. Vietas (Bill) was appointed President of the Renewable Energy and Conservation Group in January of 2018. Before that, he was General Manager of RBI Solar, helping to start the company in 2009. He also had previously served as Commercial Division Manager for Rough Brothers. Prior to joining Rough Brothers, Mr. Vietas worked at Van Wingerden Greenhouse Company.
Kevin M. Viravec
Kevin M. Viravec was appointed as President of the Industrial & Infrastructure Products Segment in January 2015. He joined Gibraltar from Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW), a Fortune 200 global diversified industrial manufacturer, where he had been Vice President and General Manager, North America for residential building components since 2010. There, he led a $200 million software, equipment and services business unit with 500 employees serving the residential and light commercial construction markets. Prior to joining ITW, Mr. Viravec spent 15 years at Motorola, Inc. in positions of increasing responsibility, lastly as Senior Director and General Manager, North America Mobile Devices. Mr. Viravec also has worked at Atlas Van Lines and The Northern Trust Company.
John E. Wagner
John E. Wagner was appointed Vice President of Supply Chain Management and Business Process Simplification in January 2015 after having joined Gibraltar in September 2004 as Vice President of Supply Chain Management. Throughout his more than 20-year career, Mr. Wagner has worked for large multi-national companies recognized as leaders in procurement and supply chain management. Just prior to joining Gibraltar, Mr. Wagner was working for United Technology’s Carrier Division where he was Director of Supply Chain Management of Carrier’s North American Residential Business Unit, a $2-billion business. There, he oversaw strategic global sourcing and material spending for multiple Carrier locations.
Jeffrey J. Watorek
Jeffrey J. Watorek was appointed Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary in April 2017. Previously, Mr. Watorek had served as Gibraltar's Director of Financial Planning & Analysis since 2012 and Manager of External Reporting since 2008. Mr. Watorek's experience at Gibraltar includes budgeting and forecasting, managing the Company's real estate portfolio, as well as valuation and due diligence of prospective M&A targets. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Watorek progressed through a series of roles with Ernst & Young from 2002 to 2008 including Audit Manager.
